Already in the first brochure of Contina Ltd. from 1949 "CONTINA" (Nom de la machine modifié en "CURTA") the models Curta Type II 11 X 9 X 14 and Curta Type IIa 12 X 7 X 16 were mentioned. At that time, the name "CURTA" was just created...		Bereits in der ersten Broschüre der Contina AG von 1949 "CONTINA" (Nom de la machine modifié en "CURTA") wurden die Modelle Curta Type II 11 X 9 X 14 und Curta Type IIa 12 X 7 X 16 erwähnt. Zu dieser Zeit wurde der Name "CURTA" gerade erst geschaffen...

Another note can be found in "Neue konstruktive Wege im Rechenmaschinenbau" - by Prof. Dr. Karl Holecek, Techn. Hochschule Wien - 19./20. October 1950: "Two larger models with 11 X 9 X 14 and 12 X 7 X 16 digits are already under construction. The largest diameter of these two types is 63 mm, the height is the same as in the smaller model, 100 mm and the weight 300 g. The machines are still very comfortable to hold and operate. Hochschule Wien - 19./20. Oktober 1950 zu finden: "Zwei grössere Modelle mit 11 X 9 X 14 und 12 X 7 X 16 Stellen sind bereits im Bau. Der Grösstdurchmesser dieser beiden Bauarten beträgt 63 mm, die Höhe, so wie beim kleineren Modell, 100 mm und das Gewicht 300 g. Die Maschinen lassen sich also immer noch sehr bequem in der Hand halten und bedienen. Weitaus die meisten Bestandteile sind für alle Modelle die gleichen, ..."
